Southeastern Baptist College Celebrates Historic Graduation

Southeastern Baptist College is proud to announce the graduation of its Class of 2023. The commencement ceremony was held on May 13, 2023 at the P.M. Cochran Athletic Center on the campus of Southeastern Baptist College, where 46 graduates received their diplomas. This is the largest graduating class in Southeastern Baptist College’s history.
The ceremony was attended by the graduates’ family, friends, faculty, administration, and board of trustees, who witnessed the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. The graduates were addressed by special guest speaker, Mayor Johnny Magee of Laurel, Mississippi. Mayor Magee reminded the graduates of the importance of their education, and they were encouraged to be brave enough to change the world.
During the ceremony, two graduates were recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the college community. Jeffrey Jasper, Bachelor of Science – Pastoral Ministries, was awarded the D. N. Jackson Theology Award. Cody Hilton, Bachelor of Science –Business Administration, received the prestigious Delta Epsilon Chi award.
“We are incredibly proud of our graduates and their accomplishments,” said Dr. Scott Carson, President of Southeastern Baptist College. “They have worked hard to reach this milestone, and we are excited to see what they will achieve in the future. We pray for God’s blessing in their future endeavors.”
The Class of 2023 joins a distinguished group of Southeastern Baptist College alumni who have gone on to make significant contributions in their fields. We wish them all the best as they embark on their next journey and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the world.
