Student Portion of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Authorized by
Section 18004 (a)(1) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act

FINAL

1. Southeastern Baptist College (SBC), Federal School Code 015024, acknowledges that we
have signed and returned the Certification and Agreement form. SBC will use no less
than 50% of the funds as emergency grants to students.
2. Total amount of funds SBC has received from the Department of Education for
emergency grants for students total $36,923.
3. Total amount of CARES Act emergency grant funds distributed to date is $36,923.00.
4. The estimated total number of students eligible for Title IV assistance and thus eligible
for emergency grants for students is 32.
5. The total number of students who have received an emergency grant under the CARES
Act totals 32.
6. Grants are distributed to students who were registered in the Spring 2020 semester
(online-only programs excluded) and eligible for Federal Title IV financial aid at that
time. The survey questions are based on the eligibility criteria handed down from the
Department of Education. Those criteria include expenses related to the disruption of
campus operations due to coronavirus including food, housing, course materials,
technology, health care, and child care.
7. Instructions related to the emergency grants were sent to all eligible students via their
SBC Populi email account.

Institutional Portion of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)
Authorized by Section 18004(a)(1) the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security
(CARES) Act

1. Southeastern Baptist College (SBC), Federal School Code 015024, acknowledges that we
have signed and returned the Certification and Agreement for the institutional portion of
HEERF formula grants.
2. SBC also acknowledges that we have signed and returned the Certification and
Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act. SBC
has received all eligible funds and all funds received have been distributed to students in
the form of emergency financial aid grants. See separate report available.
3. Total amount of funds SBC has received from the Department of Education for the
institutional portion of the HEERF formula grant is $36,922.00.
4. Total amount of funds received that were expended or obligated for each project or
activity to date is $28,763.71.
5. The project that the funds were expended on was campus technology.
Award under Section 18004(a)(2) of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
(HEERF), Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act

1. Southeastern Baptist College acknowledges that we have signed and returned the
Certification and Agreement for the emergency relief fund additional award under
designated parts of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA).
2. Total amount of funds SBC has been allocated from the Department of Education for this
award is $4,320.00.
3. Total amount of funds SBC has received from the Department of Education for this
award is $4,320.00.
4. Total amount of funds SBC received that were expended or obligated for each project or
activity to date is $4,320.00.
5. The detailed list of all projects or activities for which funds were expended or obligated
include the below:

o Emergency student financial aid to Title IV eligible students

Award under Section 18004(a)(3) of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
(HEERF), Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act

1. Southeastern Baptist College acknowledges that we have signed and returned the
Certification and Agreement for the emergency relief fund additional award under
designated parts of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA).
2. SBC acknowledges that we have submitted the Budget and Expenditure Reporting under
Section 18004(a)(3) of the CARES Act form to HEERF.
3. Total amount of funds SBC has been allocated from the Department of Education for this
award is $421,747.00.
4. Total amount of funds SBC has received from the Department of Education for this
award is $421,747.00.
5. Total amount of funds SBC received that were expended or obligated for each project or
activity to date is $84,199.00.
6. The detailed list of all projects or activities for which funds were expended or obligated
include the below:
* Student accounts support and sustainability
* Cleaning and PPE materials
* Covid-19 support personnel
7. No subcontracts or subgrants have been awarded at this time.

CARES ACT NOTIFICATION

Southeastern Baptist College is in the process of distributing $36,923.00 in CARES Act Emergency Relief Student Aid to eligible students who meet the eligibility requirements of the U. S. Department of Education and Southeastern Baptist College.
